The Sheep and Goat Project aims to improve sheep breeding and productivity in Belize. Through the National Breeding Center, the project has introduced 87 head of quality breeding stock in order to renew three breeding stocks and establish a scheme for breeding stock selection. Training and education for Central Farm staff and local sheep producers are also being provided.

The project is funded by the Governments of Taiwan and Belize.

Local executing agencies are Taiwan Technical Mission in Belize (ICDF) and Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Forestry, the Environment, Sustainable Development and Immigration (MAFFESDI).
